You miss a bend on a biking tour across Mallorca and are taken to hospital with a broken leg. Or an emergency in the family requires you to travel home immediately. No matter where you are in the world, Helvetia is there to assist you throughout your trip in any emergency.

We pay the cost of recovery and transportation to the nearest hospital and the cost of food and accommodation if you have to extend your stay. If you travel home early or require medical repatriation, we pay the cost and reimburse you for the missed portion of your holiday.

You have your eye on the idyllic landscape rather than the fuel gauge and are left stranded in the middle of nowhere. Or you unfortunately spotted the tree too late when parking your hire car.

We pay the costs if you have a breakdown in Switzerland or Europe with your own car. 

While you are out on your Sunday excursion, your e-bike suddenly gives up the ghost at the halfway point. Helvetia is there for you and pays the costs if your e-bike or moped breaks down while you are out and about.

The cancellation insurance and the Assistance for persons apply worldwide. Motor vehicle Assistance applies worldwide for rental vehicles and in Switzerland and in Europe for your own car. Assistance insurance for electric/motor vehicles apply in Switzerland and in Europe.

Yes, if you are unable to attend an event due to an illness or an accident and you do not have the option to cancel, Helvetia pays the costs for you. This also applies to permanent or seasonal subscriptions which cannot be used later.

In principle there are no deadlines. That means you can take out the insurance just one day before you travel. However, events that have already occurred when the insurance is taken out, when the holiday or trip is booked or at the time of departure are not covered.
