What happens with your application

You are interested in a vacant position and submit an application comprising the following: your CV. You can also upload other application documents – such as a motivation letter, references and certificates – but they are optional. We think that an informative CV already tells us a lot about you. We also require some personal details like your name, date of birth and e-mail address. You can enter all that straight in the application form for the position.

Once your online application for an advertised position reaches us, you will receive an e-mail confirming receipt.

Your application enters the preselection process, where first impressions count. If your application is suitable, a recruitment partner will contact you by phone with further details of the application process.

You will be invited for an interview with your potential line manager and the recruitment partner. We conduct most of these interviews either online or via video.

A second interview is optional. If you're invited for one, you will generally be able to meet the team and other key stakeholders you will have to do with if you get the job.

Especially where management positions are involved, you may be invited to attend an assessment centre, where you can put your skills to the test. It allows us to gauge how you work and, at the same time, enables you to determine whether the advertised position is really a good fit for you.

A recruitment partner will call you with a job offer and contract details.

We aim to give every applicant a response – and clarity – as quickly as possible. That's why we have greatly simplified our processes. After an initial e-mail confirming receipt of your application, you will receive your first proper response within five working days. Our goal is to take no more than four to six weeks from application through to acceptance. Depending on the position, department and number of applicants, it may take less time or, in some cases, more. Our recruitment specialists do their best every day to make the application process as pleasant as possible for you.

It's almost time to start your new job. To ensure you get off to a flying start, you will begin with an interesting Welcome Day, which will offer you plenty of useful information about Helvetia, what we offer, our strategy and much more besides. And you can meet other new employees. Our Welcome Day includes a tasty lunch. It goes without saying that you will be IT-ready from day one, i.e. your laptop and all IT access points will be activated. You'll see soon enough that our onboarding process starts even before your first actual day of work – keep an eye on your inbox. We wish you a good start.

There are thousands of books and websites offering tips for a successful application. For that reason, we won't be offering you a step-by-step guide here. Instead, we'd like to concentrate on the essentials of your application. We look for people with a mind of their own. So you don't have to put on an act at the interview. Just be yourself – and make sure the appearance matches the reality. Please feel free to ask critical questions and try to take away as much as possible from the discussion – in terms of both emotions and content.
