Digital SOS card – always at hand in an emergency.

In the event of a claim, you have immediate access to your Helvetia emergency contacts and an overview of your policy number/s on the digital SOS card. Easily store your personal card in your Wallet app on your mobile phone.

It's as simple as that for all customers with private customer or motor vehicle insurance:

1. Go to: helvetia.ch/sos-card

2. Click on: «Order your SOS card now»

3. Chat with our digital assistant Clara, she will take your order 

4. Click on the link sent by e-mail and download the SOS card to your Wallet app

The digital SOS card is available on iOS (Apple Wallet) and Android (Google Wallet) apps, just like digital plane tickets or admission tickets.

What's on the card?
The card has a front (coloured side) and reverse and contains the following information:
Front
  • First name and last name of policyholder
  • Type of insurance (e.g. private customer insurance or motor vehicle insurance)
  • Text field in which push notifications can be displayed
Reverse
  • Latest notifications
  • Emergency number
  • Possibility to report a claim online
  • Your policy number/s
  • Contact options with the contact partner
  • Possibility to view and update your own contact details
  • Option to share the SOS card
  • Further digital services from Helvetia
  • Data protection information

iOS example

The card is accessed via the Wallet app. To view the reverse, tap on the three dots at the top right and then on card details.

Android example

The card is stored in the Google Wallet app. Depending on the device, there are different ways to access the reverse. Sometimes there are three points at the top right, as with iOS; sometimes you just have to scroll down or there is a Details button.

For iOS users 

1. Click on the download link

2. Accept the data privacy terms and conditions

3. Tap «Add to Apple Wallet»

4. The Wallet app will open automatically. Tap «Add» and the card will be saved to your smartphone

Tip: To view all the information, you need to switch to the card details view. Simply tap on the circle with three dots in it in the upper right-hand corner and then select «Card details».

For Android users

1. Click on the download link

2. Accept the data privacy terms and conditions

3. Accept use of Google Wallet

4. Tap «Add» and the card will be saved to your smartphone

Tip:  Check whether you’ve already installed the Google Wallet app on your smartphone. If not, you can download it from Google Play.
