Visual communication plays a key role in conveying messages and information to customers and also employees. That's where you come in!
During your apprenticeship as a graphic designer, you will mainly be working in Branding, where you will provide a fresh look for our advertising and communication materials. During your apprenticeship, you and your work colleagues will jointly seek the best ways in which digital products and also conventional customer magazines, posters and exhibition stands can be graphically realized. You will energetically assist in developing ideas, designs and advertising materials, and will take part in numerous exciting events. To broaden your theoretical knowledge, your apprenticeship will be supplemented by attending vocational school and taking external cantonal courses.
Our modular structure allows you to design your apprenticeship to suite your own interests. Here’s how it works: Some modules are compulsory and others are optional. So if you want to be a bit more creative, for example, you can apply your digital native know-how to a social media project. Or if you fancy improving your foreign language skills, you can spend a few months in a different language region abroad or in Switzerland as part of your apprenticeship. But even the compulsory modules still leave room for fun! For example, there’s the Start Camp, an event you take part in with other apprentices from all over Switzerland, or opportunities to focus on a specific theme in the context of your working and learning situation. We offer a wide range of courses because we recognize the importance of enabling you to help design your apprenticeship individually according to your personal interests and strengths.
At Helvetia, we set great store by social interaction. Various events such as StartCamp, the General Assembly and exciting workshops provide variety during the apprenticeship, and also give you the opportunity to make new contacts and cultivate friendships. At the FitforExams Camp during the fourth year of the apprenticeship participants jointly revise what they have learned – so that by July they will be celebrating passing their final apprenticeship exams.
Can you imagine launching yourself into this creative vocational field and learning lots of new things? If so, you have the right qualities to start a media technology apprenticeship at Helvetia.
You will also benefit from six weeks' holiday and many other benefits such as a voucher for CHF 500 for your private laptop and great graduation gifts.
Helvetia Insurance Switzerland also won the Great Place To Work – "Great Start" seal in 2021 for the outstanding conditions it offers in relation to its apprenticeships, trainee programme and Young Insurance Professional programme.
