Here's what you can expect from the Digital Business Developer AFC apprenticeship

Launch your career in the digital environment and become part of a dynamic team. Working closely with the specialist department, you'll develop innovative solutions that inspire our clients. You'll be entrusted with varied and challenging assignments as you work on optimising internal processes in collaboration with IT experts. After your apprenticeship, you have the option of taking a permanent position at Helvetia.

Finger on the pulse

As a Digital Business Developer, you'll always have your finger on the pulse. You'll keep up to date with the latest developments in the digital world and identify trends that could be relevant for Helvetia. To offer you as many insights as possible into a number of areas, you have the opportunity to work in other departments for certain periods. This will give you deeper experience and knowledge in one particular area while at the same time exposing you to the full diversity of Helvetia.

You will also expand your knowledge by attending vocational college as well as external courses offered by the canton.

Help shape your apprenticeship

The modular structure, comprising compulsory and optional components, enables you to tailor your apprenticeship in line with your interests – because Helvetia is always more than just the department you happen to be in at the time.

So if you want to be a bit more creative, for example, you can apply your digital native expertise to a social media project. Or if you fancy improving your foreign language skills, you can spend a few months in a different language region abroad or in Switzerland as part of your apprenticeship.

But even the compulsory modules still leave room for fun! For example, there's the Start Camp, an event you take part in with other apprentices from all over Switzerland, and opportunities to focus on specific subjects in the context of your practical work in the office.

Fun & networking

In addition to the Start Camp, there are other events where you can make important contacts for your career. For example, the Future Day, our social commitment or the possibility of a year abroad. This brings variety to our apprenticeships and gives you the opportunity to expand your network and cultivate friendships. In the fourth year of the apprenticeship we hold the Fit4Exams Camp, where we review what we have learned together. This gives you an optimal run-up to the final apprenticeship exam. And the best thing about it: if you pass your final apprenticeship exam, we'll celebrate your success together with you!
