We have implemented comprehensive anti-corruption policies and procedures to maintain our good reputation and prevent negative societal impacts. Employee awareness is a key focus; 35% of all employees take part in anti-corruption training each year and all employees are informed about the policy. Helvetia strictly prohibits all forms of bribery, extortion and corruption, aiming to eliminate these practices throughout the Group and safeguard its stakeholders' interests. Group Executive Management oversees a Group-wide anti-corruption programme, incorporating measures, training and checks to enhance transparency and compliance.

We ensure efficient and effective corporate governance through appropriate control and monitoring by the Board of Directors, while maintaining integrity and compliance with legal requirements. Executive Managements remuneration at Group and market unit level is linked to sustainability performance, with ESG KPIs potentially influencing up to 10% of total variable remuneration. Sustainability-related training is provided to both Executive Management and the Board of Directors. The company promotes a responsible corporate culture, enabling the Board to exercise its oversight responsibilities and ensuring the company's responsible approach, including political engagement and lobbying. Helvetia adheres to high ethical standards and has established sustainability governance and guidelines as part of its overall corporate governance.

Helvetia is committed to fostering positive relationships and making a meaningful impact on local communities in our markets through active engagement and support. Group Executive Management and local Helvetia representatives maintain a regular dialogue with local political representatives at community events or through direct bilateral discussions. This proactive approach ensures constructive relationships with local authorities, facilitating mutual understanding and support for community initiatives. Helvetia values cooperation and addresses local needs by focusing on responsible social engagement and sustainable community development. As an insurer and active part of the economy and society, we create value through specific projects with support from the IDEA Helvetia Foundation in Switzerland and the CASER Foundation in Spain.

We take a responsible approach to managing relationships with suppliers, emphasizing fair payment practices and considering environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. G uided by the United Nations Global Compact and our Code of Conduct, we are committed to taking ESG factors into account as a key decision-making criterion in procurement in order to minimize negative effects on social and environmental issues along our upstream value chain. An important part of our supply chain also relates to claims management in non-life insurance business, where we look for ways to achieve sustainable claims settlement.

As an employer and globally active insurance company, Helvetia adheres to human rights and the labour standards outlined in the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and ILO conventions. Helvetia publicly reports on its progress in implementing these principles, ensuring transparency and accountability in its supplier relationships and business operations.
