Helvetia adopts a responsible approach in its insurance-related activities. We have developed an internal definition of sustainable products to maximize our impact and measure our efforts. We want to avoid negative effects along our downstream value chain as much as possible and contribute to decarbonization. Therefore, we take account of environmental factors as a way of contributing to the Paris Climate Agreement and its net-zero targets and include best-practice ESG considerations in our products, services and claims handling. At the same time, we want to seize the opportunities for the transition to a decarbonized world as well as align and deliver products and services accordingly for the benefit of our customers and society. Helvetia aims to actively exploit the opportunities offered, such as solutions for renewable energies, public infrastructure and mobility. Moreover, we report on sustainability in our products and service provision for our non-life insurance business in accordance with the EU taxonomy .
Helvetia makes use of the possibilities offered by new technologies. For example, we use AI to elevate the customer experience and develop our products. By doing so, we are aware of the possible risk associated with using new technologies. We ensure the application of appropriate cyber protection and carefully consider ways to protect our business processes and customer data through responsible use. By utilizing modern technology, accessible distribution systems and transparent information, we aim to ensure access to our services and the inclusion of all customers. We comply with all applicable laws regarding discrimination of any kind.
